We were walking with a high school friend and her son, who were on their annual pilgrimage back to California. Between strolling beachgoers and snapshots marking our opportunity to see each other, I took a few images of this beautiful setting. Night clay rendered the dark stone and sands, and transformed being saturated by ocean air and friendship into an image on clay.
This image on speckled black stoneware clay is perfect for framing or hanging on the wall. It can also be set as a decorative element on a fireplace surround or kitchen backsplash, or on any interior or exterior wall.
